The new Retail Prices are computed based on the average FOB costs: that is; (Ex-refinery prices), for the period, January 08th, 2009 to 10th February 2010.
The Government will continue to closely monitor the pricing mechanism and would adjust prices in accordance with subsequent market price movements. All consumers are encouraged to act wisely to conserve and use energy efficiently. This situation must not be abused by any persons involved in the sale of these products to gain excess profit. It has been brought to the Government’s attention incidences of overpricing.
